Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. announced it has acquired Eileo S.A., the Paris-based leader in the design and deployment of best-in-class car sharing technology. Eileo's end-to-end solutions are utilized by Connect by Hertz, currently operating in London, New York City and Paris.

A new car-sharing service opens in Nantes.

Autopartage Marguerite is the name of the new car-sharing service opening in Nantes in spring 2008. Its goal: to reduce the car presence in the city, inciting the inhabitants to rethink their car use. This self-financed project was created by Nantes Métropole and two mobility actors: Sepamat (car rental group) and Transdev.
